JONATHAN SPUNGEN
Professional Story
Born into the 4th generation of a multi-national manufacturing and distribution family business, PEER Bearing, my path into business began before I took my first breath. Once I did, I quickly developed a passion for it after my dad started taking me on "vacation", or sales road trips, before I was 10-years-old. Simultaneously, I developed a passion for investing thanks to my grandma, who had me calculating stock ratios in elementary school.
In 2017, over a decade since my first stock trades with my grandma but only a year after graduating from the University of Denver, my life changed when the crypto investments I made in 2013 returned 1,000's of percent. I continued to take jobs to support myself, but I soon transitioned to investing full-time.
Shortly after, in 2019, empowered by the financial freedom and thick skin gained from investing against the grain, I decided to follow my dreams and founded a software startup, Letzgo. It was the best and worst experience. I was forced out of my comfort zone such as when I did door-to-door sales as an introvert and made costly mistakes like outsourcing our core competency of software development. More importantly, however, I learned how to build a team, work hard, and I made lifetime friendships. That's why while the startup shut down and was at times exhausting, it was great.
It is also why I am so grateful and eager to share what I learned. Get in touch: jonathan@jonathanspungen.io
